Hi,
Does anybody know why the "Email subscription" option is not shown in the
Listbox ? I only get an option for the File Delivery.. And also, how can i
activate it (let it show in the option list)
Thanks!
KoenHi Koen -
To show up as a subscription option, the SMTP information in the
RSReportServer.config file must be set correctly. Make sure you have
the SMTPServer and From elements defined.

No Data-Driven Subscription Button
Hi,
I have a test server and a production RS server. On the test server I can
create data-driven subscriptions with no problems. However, on the
production server I do not get the "New Data-Driven Subscription" button and
I can't figure out why.
- I'm a domain administrator so I have local admin rights on both boxes.
- I'm Content Manager on both boxes
- The Config files look identical (impersonate is on for both of them,
however the connection string is encrypted so it could be that it's running
under a user without priveleges.)
- I'm not using integrated security for the data sources
- The data sources are shared. I found this on MSDN: "This button is not
available when you access subscriptions through a shared data source", but
the development server works okay with a shared data source, and even when I
switch a report over to use a non-shared (custom) data source the button is
not availab.e
- The ReportServer's are running under the same account
Obviously I'm missing something. Any ideas?
Thx, JoelAre you sure the production server has the Enterprise Edition of Reporting
Services installed? Data-driven subscriptions are not available in the
Standard Edition.

how can I tell which version I'm running? Is there a query or a setting in

Next question: is Sql Server Enterprise Edition required to have Reporting
Services Enterprise Edition installed or are they mutually exclusive? I
currently only have servers with Sql Server Standard Edition.

Why not include data driven subscriptions in the SE version of SRS? It seems
to be a basic element. Although, I understand it will drive some purchases
of Sql Server EE.

Anyawy, we had to make some decisions about what would go in each edition.
After talking to customers, data driven subscriptions seemed like a
reasonable EE feature.

Technically speaking, I could request a SRS EE cd, install it, and then
point it to a STD Edition Sql Server (on another machine). But, to do this,
an Sql Server EE license is required, although Sql Server EE wouldn't
necessarily need to be installed.
The pricing info for a Sql Server EE license is the same as purchasing the
software correct?
Thanks!!

No Data-Driven Subscription button
I have created a report and published it on the reporting server. My connection is working, and I have followed the steps in the BOL tutorial for "Defining a Data-Driven Subscription" i.e. Credentials stored securely on report server, using windows credentials when connecting to the data source. When I click on "Subscriptions", I only see "New Subscriptions". However, when I look at other reports (not even created by me), I see the option to create data driven subscriptions. Can somebody tell me what I need to do to see this?I got it; the report cannot be in the "My Reports" folder.

We have reportingservices installed on the sql box. It's a W2K SP4 server
with sql2000 SP3a.
We have deployed several reports. All reports we have deployed after
installing SP1 do not contain an attached report (PDF, TIFF, Excel, CSV) but
when the report is rendered in the body of the message or when we view it in
the viewer there are no problems at all.
Reports deployed before installing SP1 are functioning correctly.

No "From" field on the subscriptions page
We are starting to use data-driven subscriptions for multiple applications
and would like to change the From address for each subscription. There isn't
a "From" field on the "Delivery extension settings for Report Server Email"
page in the Data-driven subscriptions section of Reporting Manager. Let me
know if you've found a solution.
I don't get why the "From" field wasn't included in the interface;
especially, if it is walking across smtp.
--
Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated ...
Regards TJHello,
"Delivery extension settings" does not include "From" settings. This email
address is configured under
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting
Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer
You can find search "administrator@." to find the From settings under Report
Server Email settings.
Hope this helps.

and would like to change the From address for each subscription. There isn't
a "From" field on the "Delivery extension settings for Report Server Email"
page in the Data-driven subscriptions section of Reporting Manager. Let me
know if you've found a solution.
I don't get why the "From" field wasn't included in the interface;
especially, if it is walking across smtp.

Regards TJHello,
"Delivery extension settings" does not include "From" settings. This email
address is configured under

You can find search "administrator@." to find the From settings under Report

Thank you for your reply. Based on my research, Report server e-mail
delivery extension built in Reporting service does not support this feature
for now. You may need to develop customized e-mail delivery extension. I
have incuded the following articles for your reference:
